Split Screen Defect

I have been away for a while and wonder whether there is any more news about corrections to the defect that shows up as a split screen. I have had it happen on stills, always with the flash on, perhaps four or five times out of hundreds of exposures. The image is cloudy and one half is greenish while the other redish. My camera is from Amazon and not grey market.

I just returned a camera that exhibited this defect in low light "bedroom light at night". The replacement camera has the exact same problem during lower light video recording. I think it is safe to say that all of these cameras have this problem in lower light levels. IMO this is totally unacceptable and this one too will probably go back to b&h. It would be good for all the owners to check out their cameras for this and report their findings. I am going to try to call sanyo and see if anybody there has anything to say about it.
