MPEG Streamclip 1.7 Software
The Italian company Squared 5
http://www.squared5.com/ provides free video solutions for both Mac and Windows. As of version 1.7, the Mac version now produces Universal Binaries (for both PPC and Intel). A Windows XP version is also available. MPEG Streamclip can now open QuickTime, DV, AVI, Divx, and MPEG-4 files. It can edit them with Cut, Copy, Paste, and Trim; set In/Out points and convert them into muxed or demuxed files, or export them to high quality QuickTime, AVI, DV and MPEG-4 files. I have used previous Mac PPC versions with good results.

does it allow visual cut clip etc.. WITHOUT recompressing the entire video ? (the way to test this might be to stick it back on the SD card and see if the camera will touch it ??)
